Baseball finally let the robots weigh in. In 2026 MLB rolled out the ABS challenge system: a few times a game, a team can tap the cap and ask Hawk-Eye whether a ball or strike call was right. The call stands or gets flipped on the spot. I wanted to know who is actually good at this.
This dashboard tracks every challenge of the season: which teams win their challenges and which ones burn them, which umpires get overturned the most and the least, and who on each roster is doing the challenging (spoiler, it is almost always the catcher). It also answers the question I really cared about: does being good at the robot game help you win games? Short version, not really. It updates on its own every day.
